Terrace Bay

Terrace Bay is a remote coastal settlement and resort located within Skeleton Coast National Park on Namibia's Atlantic coast. It is the northernmost point that most visitors can reach by road inside the park and is famous for its isolation, fishing, and dramatic desert-meets-ocean scenery.

🎣 What It's Known For



Terrace Bay is regarded as one of Namibia's premier shore-fishing destinations. The cold Benguela Current creates productive fishing grounds along the Skeleton Coast. Anglers target species such as steenbras, galjoen, kob, and other surf-zone fish.

🚗 Access



Visitors require a permit to enter the southern section of Skeleton Coast National Park. Beyond Terrace Bay, public access becomes highly restricted and special permits are generally required for travel farther north.
