Full Day Marine Dune Day

Upon checking in at Walvis Bay, we begin our day with a morning catamaran cruise around the Walvis Bay lagoon. Common sightings here include bottlenose and Heaviside dolphins, Cape Fur seals, Mola Molas, penguins, Leatherback turtles, and even whales (July-November), as well as flamingos, pelicans, cormorants, White Chinned Petrel, Wilson's Storm petrel, Cape Gannet, Black Oystercatcher. Along with the amazing wildlife sightings, we have the opportunity to see Pelican Point, oyster farms, Walvis Bay Harbour, and Pelican Point Lighthouse. While cruising the lagoon, a light lunch is served that includes fresh Namibian oysters and a glass of champagne! We then return to land to explore the dunes south of Walvis Bay on a 4x4. Our goal may be Sandwich Harbour, but this afternoon's adventure is more about the journey itself as we ride Namibia's natural rollercoaster, traversing the dunes. The most unforgettable moments of your Namibian adventure might be driving between the crashing ocean and ancient sand dunes of the Namib or reaching the top with a panoramic view of sand and sky. In any case, you will witness and experience things beyond imagination, creating memories you will never forget. Many guests consider this experience a highlight of their travels. We return to Walvis Bay in the late afternoon.
